Job Summary and QualificationsThe Resource Nurse supports high quality, patient-centered care by offering feedback, guidance, and mentoring to new graduate nurses and/or nurses that are transitioning to a new specialty. The Resource Nurse supports multiple units. The Resource Nurse provides guidance and education on the hospital’s standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.
What you will do in this role:
- Performs rounds on each nursing unit.
- Observes and assesses the quality of patient care being delivered.
- Identify nursing educational needs.
- Escalate concerns about nursing skills, patient care, policies, processes, and equipment as appropriate.
- Ensure that nurses within scope of support have a clear understanding of how to integrate patient experience into nursing practice.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Preceptor must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Satori Alternatives Manag Aggr must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Currently licensed as a registered TX RN or compact license
- Bachelors Degree required/Master's preferred
- 2+ years experience as an acute care RN required
- 1+ years experience in a leadership role preferred
- 1+ years experience as a preceptor preferred

I enjoyed working along side great team from the Director to Nursing Assistant,all had great work ethic,team work and stayed professional. I almost took a full time position in the Acute inpatient Rehabilitation unit. Would recommend the observation unit ,medsurg telemetry unit as well.
