Registered Nurse, RN, Emergency Room

Responsibilities We are offering a Sign-On Bonus up to $15,000 for experienced RNs! Grand View Health's New Hospital Pavilion, including the new Emergency Department, opened in 2023. Come be a part of our Emergency/Trauma Care Team! * The new Emergency Department with 30 treatment rooms including 2 trauma bays. * Easy access by vehicle and a helicopter pad on the roof. * Waiting areas designed for privacy and comfort. Under the general direction and guidelines of Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) standing orders, standards established through the Nurse Practice Act of Pennsylvania, and Grand View Hospital policies and procedures, the Registered Nurse, RN, Emergency Room is accountable for assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating care for neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Job Summary: The Registered Nurse, RN, Emergency Room position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by: * Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status * Determining the priority of the patient's problems and needs * Implementing clinical nursing interventions * Having a highly diverse skillset * Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes * Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment Essential Functions: * Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team * Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment * Evaluates, updates and revises the plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes * Provides care to a broad spectrum of patients ranging from short-stay to trauma * Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts, 11:00 am - 11:00 pm, every third weekend and every other holiday.
