Job Description ECU Health About ECU Health Physicians ECU Health Physicians is multi-specialty group with over 600 providers in more than 140 primary and specialty clinics across more than 110 locations in eastern North Carolina. Position Summary The ultrasound technologist produces two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for use by the physician in diagnosing disease and studying malfunction of organs. He/She modifies and delivers care that is specific to the age, growth and level of development of patients including adolescent, adult, and geriatric. The technologist must be familiar with all Radiologist Protocols for general ultrasound examinations. Minimum Requirements * American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification * Two Year Degree Required- or higher. * Diagnostic technologist RT( R ), preferred but not required. * The employee must have an ARDMS registration with current certification or registry obtained within the first six months of employment. * A minimum of two (2) years AMA accredited program in radiologic technology or ultrasound. * CPR Certification Preferred Requirements * Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer * Registered Vascular Technologist Other Information * Primary Shift: Day * Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm * Friday 8am - 12pm * On Call: No * Weekends: No * Great benefits General Statement It is the goal of ECU Health and its entities to employ the most qualified individual who best matches the requirements for the vacant position.
